How do you make matted art prints?
I need to make matted art prints but none of my art is standard size. Most is 8.5×11 or larger. It’s detailed all the way to the edges so I can’t have any of it be cut off. So how can I make art prints to sell?
Instead of matting, what you need done is to mount your artwork on a piece of matt board. A spray adhesive is best for this. If you want a “frame” around the art, the cut the board larger than the artwork, leaving a margin of matt board showing.
If this doesn’t fit you art teacher’s definition of a “matted art print,” then you can still cut a mat to place over your mounted piece.
