Why would people say McCain is a traitor? That he told secrets and did not want to find POWs who would know?
While I am not registered Rep, I do like and respect McCain. I respect his service and that he did not leave when he could as a POW. I have heard on this website from posters, and one or two other sources that he told military secrets while imprisoned. Not that any of us could say what we would do if beaten and held for 5 years. And that if it true, I would think it forgivable.
Is there any fact or source behind this? I had not heard this before.
It is a horrible thing to say if no fact to support it. And who could say they know it happened? How could that be confirmed?
Very distasteful.
But anyone else hear this? Any source or possible validity?
Or just nasty gossip?
He said when being interviewed after returning home that he gave them some locations and names….
Some of his fellow POW’s say that he was treated better because he gave away secrets….
He did actively try not to investigate the missing POW’s….even when the families of those POW’s felt that they had ample evidence of their loved ones being alive.
Who knows what is true and what is fabricated….it is all a very emotional issue for all parties.
Regardless, I am far more concerned that he does not support our current military and veterans….that he votes against them and their needs, outsources their jobs, and doesn’t fight for the healthcare they deserve upon returning home.
